So, I'd like to point out that there's some huge lawsuit thing going on against Art4Love.com, which is a site that stole a shitton of art from DeviantArt artists and sold them on their site as canvas prints for BIG money.
My Morgan Freeman Cathead picture was stolen, turned sepia, and put on this site. I'm actually more flattered than angry, but also pretty damn sad that this is just one more reason to start using watermarks.
[Here's what it looked like on their site: [link] ]
I HATE watermarks. I know it's dumb of me to not watermark my work, but I think a simple artist name + website at the bottom of the picture in a small font should be more than enough to keep people from posting my shit all over the interwebs without credit. I think watermarks are ugly as shit. They take away so much from the image and honestly, if someone wanted to steal your work that badly, they could just clonestamp or paint it out. At least they'd be working for it.
I'm not going to start using watermarks. I'm hoping I will never have to. It would help a great deal, however, if you would all check out this site and see if your own art (or anymore of mine, for that matter) was stolen and listed on the Art4Love site. It would REALLY help if you donated towards the cause to take this Art4Love guy to court.
'alexiuss, who makes the damn pretty comic Romantically Apocalyptic, is leading the cause and taking donations to find a copyright lawyer to represent the 903 artists who were stolen from.

SO YEAH. COOL.
